Steel band holds end of year concert The Canadian Caribbean Association of Haltons (CCAH) steel band is hosting its end of year concert in Oakville on Saturday, Dec. 4. The concert, Passing it on: the Oral Story-Telling Tradition, is part of the associations seniors program. It will feature story teller Rhoma Spencer along with the steel band. There will also be guest performances by Montreals Salahs Steelpan Academy. The event is at the Operating Engineers Banquet Hall, located at 2245 Speers Rd. PEI group of the year to perform The quickly rising Prince Edward Island band Tim Chaisson and Morning Fold is coming to Oakville for a performance at the Moonshine CafThe band will per- form at the cafn Dec. 8. The band won several awards at the 2010 PEI music awards, includ- ing pop album of the year and group of the year. The bands album, Broken Hearted Beat went number 1 on MuchMoreMusics daily top-10 and features songs written and pro- duced by Canadian rock legends Joel Plaskett and Gordie Johnson.
