The CD of six songs is now available for sale at Good Books Christian Bookstore at 588 Kerr St. The CD, that costs $20, will feature the new song the Hamiltons penned in the after- math of the Haiti earthquake, Haiti, Please Hold On. It also features Hands Across the World, a song the local music duo created a dozen years ago for a program with which the Halton Regional Police Service was boosting multicultural awareness. The Hamiltons are donating the proceeds of sale to fundrais- ing efforts for Haiti by their church, Bethesda Church of God located at 1011 Upper Middle Rd. E., Ste. 1509. Deadline looms for Stars Among Us Applications for the Oakville Arts Council's second annual Stars Among Us arts awards are now being accepted. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. Award categories include: visual arts (includes photogra- phy), literary arts, media arts and performing arts. A new category is for the young artists award (18 years or younger). Winners receive $500, media coverage and recognition at Stars Among Us. Applicants will be assessed on: artistic merit, artistic message and the works emotional impact, orig- inality of concept or idea, innova- tive use of the medium, and tech- nical execution of the medium.
