Police said the incident took place at around 3 p.m. when a Kawasaki 750 motor- cycle, operated by the Oakville man and traveling northbound on Snake Road, lost control on a curve and fell on its side. The motorcycle and rider slid from the northbound lane into the path of south- bound car, striking the front left corner of the car before finally coming to a stop. The Oakville man was taken to Joseph Brant Hospital and later transferred to a Hamilton hospital with serious injuries. The female driver and passenger of the car were not injured in the collision. Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash, however, speed and loss of control, on the part of the motorcycle, may have con- tributed to the collision.
