The health department does regular tests to recreational water areas in the region throughout the summer months. This weeks (Aug. 23) test results show all beaches in Halton, but the Coronation Park East location, have acceptable levels of bacteria and are safe for swimming. The safe beaches are Oakvilles Bronte Park Beach and Coronation Park West. Outside Oakville, safe beaches include Burlingtons Beachway Park North and South, Miltons Kelso Conservation Area and Prospect Park Old Beach in Halton Hills. Dr. Brian Godman will speak at the club on Thursday, Sept. 15 at the Oakville Conference Centre. In his book, The Night Shift: Real Life in the Heart of the E.R., Goldman shares his E. R. experi- ences, which are heartbreaking, humourous and frustrating.
