He believes that the key to creating a great smile is to have clear and open communication between his patients, ceramist and himself. To achieve this he has developed a special treatment communication form that he uses to predictably plan and complete smile makeovers for his patients. The form has been so popular that it is used in a number of dental practices in Toronto and across North America. Sharing a name with the former pre- mier of Ontario, the 23-year-old is running as an independent for the Oakville riding, going after two issues: one to encourage young people to vote and the other to pro- vide a different perspective on issues. p yTheres a lot of voter a ath in this country and this province, especially amongst my age cohort. Looking at those aged under 25, we dont vote. Thats a big problem, the University of Ottawa political science and public administration graduate said. Im hoping on one level, if young people see a young person running and talking about the issues that they , y g ,have the ll et involved theyll get interested and, at least, theyll go out to vote. He believes there is a dis- connect with how politicians address the issues of young people and he wants to change that. His other reason for run- ning is to create a produc- tive government that goes after issues, not votes. If we want this province to be the green, productive, pdebt-free lace that we all want it to be, were going to have to face a lot of challenges in the next 10 years. Were actually going to have to think about policies that try and address the problems were having, he said. However, instead of addressing prob- lems, he said the major parties are tailor- ing their platforms to get votes instead. Theyre really targeting the vote and we see that from all the major parties right now, he said. We need new perspective, which is my slogan in this, so that we can fix the prob- glems that were havin . Young Mike Harris joins election race for Oakville Mike Harris
