David Walach had been listed on the Ontario Libertarian Partys website as the Halton riding candidate, however, Haltons returning office confirmed Walach didnt file nomination papers. The Halton ridings confirmed candidates in the Oct. 6 election represent the following parties: Family Coalition, Freedom, Green, Liberal, NDP, PC, and an independent. The Halton riding consists of the towns of Halton Hills and Milton, a portion of north Burlington and part of Oakville, northwest of the QEW and Upper Middle Road. Halton residents can now get the latest news about Regional waste man- agement programs with the launch of two new social media tools, including a Twitter account (@HaltonRecycles) and a blog site (www.haltonrecycles.ca). Haltons Waste Management experts will be available on weekdays on both sites to share information and engage with Halton residents. Residents will also be able to share their own tips, stories and photos on waste diversion in their everyday life. The Halton Recycles blog will dis- cuss current waste diversion trends, showcase Halton events and profile community leaders in action.
