HCDSB is hosting its Grade 8 Parent Information Evenings, Pathway Planning Information Evenings and an IB Diploma Program Information Night for parents and students to attend. "These information sessions offer both parents and students an oppo pp rtunity y to have an ope p n dialogue with staff about the various programs that are available to our students," said Mary Tessari, superintendent of education for HCDSB. "The sessions are also intended to assist parents in helping their children when making the transition to secondary school and when exploring potential destinations for after they graduate." The information sessions are open to parents and students who are entering Grade 9 in September 2012. Parents and students will learn about the Grade 9 program and the transition to secondary school, meet staff members and take a tour of the school.
