www.insideHALTON.com · OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, November 17, 2011 · 10 Soup concert AT JOSHUA CREEK: Bowls painted by kindergarten students at Joshua Creek Public School will be available for parents to take home from the students' holiday concerts in exchange for a donation of a can of soup, which will go to the Salvation Army food bank. The Empty Bowls event will take place during the school's kindergarten concerts on Dec. 7 and 8 at 9 a.m. As parents already paid for half the cost to make the bowls (the other half was covered by the school), the school is not asking for money, but soup instead. Parents can also choose to make a financial donation during the concert, which will go directly to the food bank.
