Blakelock O nce a year he comes in a red suit just a size too small in a sleigh pulled by animals all tall with just one small. I never knew you could fly until I heard of this man, a jolly guy, who only comes on this one holiday -- Christmas. If you didn't catch on, this guy is Santa -- Kris Kringle. Christmas is a time I like to spend with my family around the fireplace channel on the TV. Opening presents is a joy; getting stuff I want but don't really need. I have always wanted one of those presents the Whos get from Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. All of those "do-hickeys" and "do-dads" -- they are so mystical. In anticipation for Christmas morning, which could sometimes feel like it takes forever to arrive, here's a tip: no need to wait for your family to wake up; either you jump on their beds until they wake up or get a loud or annoying noise maker and play it as loud as you can. Christmas can then start as early as you want it to. I usually get up at 6 a.m., however, here's a warning: smiles probably won't be on display from your family members if woken up too early. swirl it around. Next, I write a message on it with a paint marker. This decoration fills everyone's hearts with joy. There are lots more ideas and crafts like this, just make them up and see how crafty you can be. And finally, what would Christmas be without the food. I'll have two pieces of turkey, no stuffing, and, oh, don't forget the mashed potatoes with lots of gravy. The mashed potatoes my aunt makes are the best, and my uncle's homemade gravy is to die for. The feeling of Christmas gives me an adrenaline rush. I love getting presents and spending time with my family, having a big dinner, and decorating my whole house. I hope you enjoy this holiday as much as I do. All I have left to say is have a Wacky Christmas and a Zany New Year. Christmas songs can help you get into the spirit of things, and really they rock my world -- all those classics and remakes of the classics, such as Rocking Around d the Christmas Tree. When decorating the house, the Christmas tree is usually central to everything else. The smell of a real Christmas tree fills our house with happiness and joy. But, taking the tree down is the worst -- the pine needles that drop make such a mess, which usually means more and more cleaning for me. Christmas is a time where my mom and I like to act like Martha Stewart, we decorate the window box with boughs and dried hydrangeas. Personally, I like to make Christmas ornaments.
