Happy Birthday CELEBRATING 100: Oakville long-term care resident Olga Allison celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, Dec. 31 at Wyndham Manor on Reynolds Street. Born in Alberta on Dec. 31, 1911, Allison worked as a kindergarten and Grade 1 teacher in Vancouver and eventually a secretary for a workers' compensation board in Edmonton, Alta. She has one daughter, Karen Galbraith, and one son, Frank Allison, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren. She spends her time playing bridge and is an avid newspaper reader. Still a social butterfly, Allison attends socials at the Bronte Harbour Club and Wyndham Manor. As for how she felt on her 100th birthday, Allison said she's looking forward to seeing her great-grandchildren grow up and is thankful for her good health.
