The Woodside branch closed last summer for floor repairs and renovations -- it re-opened to the public on Wednesday, Dec. 21 of last year. An official grand re-opening will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Join library staff for free Starbucks coffee and refreshments all day long from 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. The ribbon-cutting and speeches will take place at 11 a.m. with addresses from Mayor Rob Burton, acting-CEO Charlotte Meissner and a few words from a community representative, who is a frequent customer of the Woodside branch. The facility at Woodside has become AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) compliant with newer public washrooms and customer service desks. The Woodside branch is home to many of special services for customers and the special services area in the branch has been relocated to the centre of the building, beside the information desk.
