Players new to Oakville/ MOHA, will need to complete the manual registration, available on the MOHA web site and submit to the MOHA office, along with copy of birth certificate and proof of residency. Burloak C.C. open house Saturday The Burloak Canoe Club will host an open house and registration session this weekend. The event, one of two open house/registration dates planned for this summer, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Burloak's clubhouse at 160 Water St. Members of the public are invited to stop by to learn more about the variety of worldclass sprint canoe/kayak programs offered by the club for all ages and skill levels, including Elementary (ages 8-plus), Developmental (ages 14-plus), CanoeFit and Masters (ages 25-plus). Visitors will also have an opportunity to register for the Burloak 8@8 Road Race, which features an eight-kilometre road race, a 3.5km walk and a 1km kids' run in support of the club. That event will take place Friday, May 4. "The start of our on-water season is always met with great excitement among our athletes and supporters, and this year is no exception," said Adam Oldershaw, Burloak's head coach. "With our very own Adam van Koeverden and Mark Oldershaw slated to compete in the Olympics, there's no better time to be part of Burloak."
