Senior pinned in parking mishap A 72-year-old Oakville man sustained minor injuries Tuesday evening, after becoming trapped between two parked cars in a traffic accident in a parking lot at Trafalgar Road and McCraney Street. Police reported the incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m.. The senior parked his vehicle between two others in the lot of the Trafalgar Medical Clinic building. As the victim was getting out of his car, the car he had parked next to was struck by another car driving through the lot. The Oakville Fire Department was called to the scene. Firefighters stabilized the vehicles and used high-pressure air bags, capable of lifting 20 tonnes, to push the vehicles apart and free the trapped man. The man sustained minor injuries to his shoulder and arm, but was able to walk to the ambulance on scene. The 50-year-old Oakville woman who struck the parked vehicle was unharmed. No charges have been laid.
