The event will run from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. "We are thrilled to host this opportunity for parents and caregivers of young children to come together to gather information, explore new ideas and to network," said Robin Garell, executive director at the centre. Dr. Karyn Gordon will be the keynote speaker, and will speak about bringing wellness into a parent's life through tackling the tough topic of over-indulgence. There will also be one-hour workshops. Appreciation Day at Habitat Habitat for Humanity Halton's ReStore is holding a one-day customer appreciation day to thank its supporters during the past 10 years. The 10th anniversary celebration will take place Saturday, May 5 at the Burlington store. "Thank you to our loyal customers," said Maureen Champagne, ReStore manager, in a press release. "With your support we have been able to provide simple, decent and affordable housing to help 16 Halton families to date that had been living in sub-standard or poverty conditions." During the customer appreciation day, there will be a discount of 25 per cent in the entire store, except for the kitchen section. The store is located at 1800 Appleby Line, Unit 10.
