Halton Regional Council voted unanimously Wednesday to reduce the bi-weekly garbage bag limit from six bags to three and to use a bag tags program. The decision was made after councillors heard waste management staff present two related reports to council. A similar presentation was made to Halton Region's planning and public works committee last week. The new restrictions will come into effect April 1, 2013. Any bag above the three-bag limit will require a bag tag, which will be complimentary to residents for five months while the Region rolls out its promotion and education comSee Bag page 8 Polar bears for Coronation Park By Domink Kurek OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF Anyone who has taken a stroll on the grounds of Erchless Estate will have noticed the life-sized moose and wolf sculptures there.
