Renouf drew assists on all four Oakville markers, two of which came off the stick of his brother, Jonah. Patrick Chore also scored twice for the Blades, who outshot the host Chargers 26-19 on the afternoon. Jonah Renouf added a helper for a three-point outing, Stefan Leblanc had two assists and Evan Buitenhuis made 16 saves to record the win in net. Two days earlier, the Blades fell 3-2 to Orangeville at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex despite outshooting the Flyers 46-16. Spencer Green and Harrison Domagala scored for Oakville. Previously in the tournament, the Rangers blanked the Whitby Wildcats 5-0 and Richmond Hill Stars 3-0, tied the Milton Centennials 3-3 and edged the Aurora Tigers 3-2. Patrick Vulgan notched a hat trick in the victory over Whitby, and Jacob Long tallied twice in the semifinal win over Aurora.
