Oakville's Planning and Development Council heard Mirabelle Development and Investments Inc. wants a zoning bylaw amendment to build a four-storey structure for additional ground floor commercial space and 50 residential units on three floors. The area's current zoning does not permit residential uses. The proposed development drew about 40 residents out to give their opinion. Several voiced concerns about construction noise the project would bring to the area while others said they were worried about the traffic the plan would bring to the already busy Pinegrove Road. "My mother-in-law walks over to the plaza now and she has already complained about the speed and volume of traffic on Pinegrove Road," said Pinegrove resident Ken Barber.
