Continued from page 1 Action still unknown 9 · Wednesday, November 28, 2012 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com Local Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) members are already in a legal strike position and its members recently introduced labour sanctions. Some ETFO units have already received no-board reports. Macfarlane said it is not known yet what action ETFO Halton could or will take once in a legal strike position. "Things are changing around the province on a daily basis, so we'll have to wait and see what it means at that time. It's possible there would be work-to-rule sanctions," she said. The Halton District School Board said it has contingency plans for possible job sanctions. The board would also be in a legal position to lock-out its ETFO members but it does not intend to do so, said Debra McFadden, the board's executive officer of HR and chief negotiator. "We have contingency plans that are in place for when that happens, but we will have to see what kind of forms the sanctions take," McFadden said. She said provincially, sanctions have varied from board to board, so it is unknown how the Halton board will be affected. 123 Maurice Dr. Unit 201 Oakville Tel.905 844-3899 Tuesdays & Thursdays Dec.04-Dec.20 6:00pm-9:30pm SAVE $100 Saturday & Sunday Dec.08,09-Dec.15,16 9:00am-2:30pm SPECIAL NOW $469+TAX.
