Life-saving CPR course at Oakville Place Saturday Ever wonder how you would react if you were called upon to save another person's life? February is Heart Month and St. John Ambulance wants everyone to be equipped with the right knowledge and learn how to do CPR. In honour of Heart Month, St. John Ambulance is launching a campaign to equip as many people as possible with vital first-aid skills by offering free one-hour CPR workshops intended to cover some of the basics of CPR. This is a workshop and not a certification course. Those interested in attending must reserve a spot ahead by calling 905-469-9325 to register. The workshop will be held Saturday, Feb. 16 from noon-1 p.m. at Oakville Place. For 125 years, St. John Ambulance has been training more than 140,000 Ontarians annually in first aid and other healthcare-related courses and remains dedicated to saving lives at work, home and play. With more than 4,000 volunteers contributing more than half a million hours of community service a year, St. John Ambulance is an integral part of the community offering such unique and innovative programs as: medical first response, disaster response, health and safety related youth programs and therapy dog services.
