www.insideHALTON.com · OAKVILLE BEAVER Thursday, February 14, 2013 · 14 Peace of Minds Yogathon set for Feb. 23 in Oakville The eighth annual Peace of Minds Yogathon, a fundraiser to assist the 130,000 Ontarians living with schizophrenia and psychosis, is Saturday, Feb. 23 It will be held 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, 124 Dorval Dr. Funds raised will go towards the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario's youth engagement programs including Be The One, which recognizes young people as agents of changes of the leaders of tomorrow, stated a press release. Mayor to speak to Chamber Oakville Mayor Rob Burton will present an update on the status of Oakville Thursday, Feb. 21, during an Oakville Chamber of Commerce breakfast event at the Harbour Banquet & Conference Centre. Burton will discuss the threats and opportunities facing Oakville. "Local issues are of great interest to our members," said Julia Hanna, Oakville Chamber of Commerce Chair. "We appreciate the opportunity to hear an update directly from the mayor on the important initiatives that are taking place at Town Hall." Another yogathon is set for Toronto, while related events are set to take place at several yoga studios across the province.
