www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Friday, March 22, 2013 | 12 Road work on Bronte at Dundas People may want to avoid the Bronte Road and Dundas Street intersection this weekend and next because of construction in the area. Halton Region will be installing a new watermain across the intersection starting at 9 p.m. Friday (March 22) through to 5 a.m. Monday, March 25. At that point, the work area will be temporarily restored for vehicle use, with final paving and restoration to take place the following weekend from Friday, March 29 at 9 p.m. to Monday, April 1 at 5 a.m., weather permitting. The weekend work has been scheduled to reduce the impact on traffic flow. The intersection will remain open to motorists, with lane restrictions. Traffic lights will be flashing and police officers will be directing motorists through the intersection at all times. Motorists travelling through this area during these times should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible. The construction was originally planned to start on March 15 but was delayed by a week. A map of the construction area and updates on construction projects can be found on Halton's website under Regional Construction Projects at http://bit.ly/ XOu1AF . The project is part of Building a Better Halton, the Region's infrastructure construction plan for roads, water, wastewater, and waste management projects across Halton Region.
