The Oakville Family Ribfest returns to the grounds of Sheridan College this weekend (June 21-23) and there will be more ribs to choose from and more entertainment for all ages. And, of course, the same community spirit that attracted 24,000 visitors to last year's inaugural event. "It's a real community-oriented event, put on by the community for the community," said Trish Peden, Ribfest chair and member of the Rotary Club of Oakville Trafalgar. The club Oakey organizes Ribfest, which raises funds for local charity work. People come for the food, but stay for the camaraderie and community spirit. "I think that's what people like the most about it. It's just a real community atmosphere. You can have ribs, see your friends and there are so many different things to do, just not enough time to do it. So you have to come back the next day." see Ribfest on p.5 ceramics porcelain travertine marble glass natural stone mosaics slate granite quartz FACTORY TILE DEPOT 1360 Speers Road (East of 3rd line) Oakville We shop the world so you don't have to!
