Barbecue to benefit new hospital A group of local realtors from Royal LePage will hold a barbecue on Sunday (Aug. 11) to benefit the Oakville Hospital Foundation. The event will run from 1-5 p.m. at the Genesis Homes Harmony Oakville Sales Centre, located on the southeast corner of Bronte Road and Dundas Street. Every dollar donated will be matched 2.5 times, which means the purchase of a $5 hamburger will raise $17.50 for the new hospital. The benefit will also feature a cash carwash and free live music courtesy of the local band FunkBucket. The new hospital is scheduled to open in late 2015, however the fundraising campaign is raising funds to purchase equipment, which is not funded by the province.
