Approximately 130 individuals will get together this week to celebrate the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides at the organization's first reunion. Since 1983, the program has graduated more than 2,000 specially-skilled dogs to help Canadians with a range of disabilities. The trained dogs include canine vision, hearing ear, special skills for those with medical and physical disabilities, seizure response, autism assistance, and diabetic alert. Some of those individuals are now getting together to show their gratitude to the program and help raise funds for it as well. The event is not open to the public, but anybody can contribute by making a donation to the silent auction being held.
