For those of us who find the holidays too stressful, let's quit the band and march our own way. Taking action to simplify things can make the holidays more about pleasure and less about worry. I am sure that there are little changes here and there you can make in the weeks leading up to the holidays that will help you enjoy them for the right reasons. "We value the important contribution seniors make to Oakville. Through these grants seniors-focused organizations can help seniors stay connected and engaged with their community," Flynn said in a news release. The program -- the first of its kind in Ontario dedicated solely to supporting seniors -- will provide funding to not-forprofit community groups for projects that encourage greater social inclusion, volunteerism and community engagement for seniors. The new program is part of the Province of Ontario's Action Plan for Seniors. Grants will range from $500 to $10,000 and help support initiatives allowing seniors to continue to contribute to all aspects of community life. By 2016, for the first time, people over the age of 65 will account for a larger share of the population than infants and children aged one to 14, stated the release.
