A press release issued by Town staff on Dec. 23 said the Town had called in additional forestry crews to deal with the signi cant number of downed trees and tree limbs throughout Oakville. They also said forestry crews were working as quickly as possible to remove fallen trees blocking roads and sidewalks. Several Town crews also assisted Oakville Hydro in removing fallen tree limbs from power lines. Due to the risk of falling tree limbs, Town staff said municipal trails and woodlots would be closed until further notice. Park cleanup is to begin in January after priority calls are completed. It's expected the cleanup of all damaged trees may take several weeks. Oakville Hydro President and CEO Rob Lister said, Dec. 23, see Help on p.3 ALL WHAT'S IT ?
