The event, slated for Feb. 16 from 1-5 p.m., will have an old-fashioned theme with indoor and outdoor activities at the centre's 52-acre heritage property. ArtHouse is kicking off its 2014 festival series with a performance by musician Carlos Nunez and the Toronto Concert Orchestra next week. The Oakville-based charitable arts organization has invited the musicians to the Burlington Performing Arts Centre stage on Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m. The evening will be an integration of folk and classical music. Nunez will play the gaita (the traditional Galician bagpipe) while collaborating with others.
