Jennifer MacAskill, Kirsten Miller, Christina Putigna and Cassidy MacPherson scored for the Hornets, who were playing their third game in as many days. Oakville lost 4-3 to the Brampton Canadettes Thursday in Brampton, then defeated the Southwest Wildcats 6-2 Friday at Joshua's Creek. MacPherson recorded seven points during the threegame stretch, notching a goal and two assists in both of the Hornets' first two contests. Putigna scored once in each game, while Olivia Atkinson struck for a hat trick and added a helper in the win over Southwest. Miller had the Hornets' other goal against Southwest, when Stephanie Loukes turned aside 22 shots to earn the victory in net. Oakville has won five of its past eight games, improving to 13-14-4-1 on the season. The Hornets face another three-games-in-three-days schedule this weekend as they travel to eastern Ontario for contests against Nepean (Friday), Ottawa (Saturday) and Kingston (Sunday).
