Grab a lawn chair and gather the family Saturday night and head to the second annual OTMH (Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital) Sunset Cinema at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex. Hosted by the Oakville Hospital Foundation, the evening includes activities for the kids, a barbecue and concession stands, and once the sun sets -- a screening of Ghostbusters. The free event is supported by community businesses, including title sponsor OakLand Ford. Last year's screening attracted close to 1,500 people and raised $30,000 net for the OTMH Sunset Cinema Saturday Oakville Hospital. The movie screening raises funds and awareness for the new Oakville Hospital, which is currently being built on Dundas Street at Third Line. More than 30,000 pieces of new equipment is needed for the hospital and all funds raised from the event will benefit the campaign to equip the hospital. The OTMH Sunset Cinema takes place at Sixteen Mile Sports Complex, 3070 Neyagawa Boulevard. Grounds will open at 7:30 p.m. while showtime will be at dusk. Get an ice cream and have a chat with Ward 1 councillors Saturday Oakville Ward 1 Councillors Ralph Robinson and Alan Johnston are hosting a meetand-greet this Saturday.
