A8 -The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday June 5, 2002 Traffic check nabs suspects A pair of Hamilton men are facing a variety of charges in the wake of an earlymorning traffic stop by an alert police offi cer. According to Halton Regional Police, the incident took place around 4:15 a.m. Thursday when Const. Rafal Skwarka made a routine traffic stop on a Dodge minivan near Third Line and Speers Road. Skwarka had been alerted earlier in the evening that a similar van had been involved with thefts in Peel Region and as he spoke to the vehicle's occupants, he observed auto stereo equipment with sev ered wires and bolt cutters. Both men inside the van were arrested and a subsequent search revealed more car stereos, a small television monitor, various screw drivers and other tools. It was later determined most of the equipment and tools were taken from Burlington. Aubrey Louis Robart. 33, of Bingham Street, Hamilton, is charged with posses sion of stolen property under $5,000. pos session of burglary tools and breach of probation.
