Six Nations moved six points clear of the Rock for the fourth and final post-season berth in the senior A loop. Oakville (6-11) has just one game remaining on its schedule, a visit tonight (Wednesday) to the Brooklin Redmen. Oakville lost seven of its first nine games this season, then won four of five to re-enter the playoff picture. Close games, however, were the Rock's undoing. Monday's loss was the Rock's sixth one-goal defeat of the campaign, two of those losses coming in overtime. Oakville held a 5-2 lead at the 12-minute mark of the second period, and a 7-6 advantage early in the third. But Six Nations tied the game three minutes into the final period and scored the winner with 6:50 remaining in regulation. Dave Lomas paced the Rock with two goals and an assist. Rob Hellyer (goal, two assists) also had a three-point outing. Mike Mawdsley, Alex Crepinsek, Jordan MacIntosh and Ethan O'Connor notched the other Oakville goals, and Nick Rose stopped 35 of 43 shots in net for the Rock. 905-845-3824 ext. 283 ahowe@oakvillebeaver.com LawN CaRE Quality Service and Repair at Reasonable Prices CarpenTers: you grow · we mow Call Alycia at www.lawnbros.ca Professional Services 21 years experience over 1000 liners installed!
