Halton police ask for help in identifying cap and logo by David Lea Oakville Beaver Staff 3 | Thursday, August 14, 2014 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com Halton police are hoping a unique baseball cap left at the scene of a recent break-in will lead them to the person responsible for a series of smash-and-grab-style thefts in Oakville. Between July 22 and Aug. 11, six commercial break and enters occurred along Rebecca Street and Lakeshore Road, between Trafalgar Road and Felan Avenue. In each instance, police said, someone smashed glass doors to gain entry and then stole petty cash. During one of the break-ins, a ball cap with a unique/distinctive crest on the front was left behind. Investigators are hoping members of the public may be familiar with someone who wore this hat.
