If work is taking up so much of your time and energy that it leaves nothing for fami ly and friends, you might want to take a second look at your priorities. Set clear goals and priorities W hat do you w ant your life to be? If change is what you want, you will need a vision. Setting a goal is a positive way to make sure you follow through with your thoughts about change. Your goal should be: S.M.A.R.T. stands for: Specific - It states clearly what, when and how you will act. Measurable - It states a number or quantity that you can measure. Achievable - Given your resources, you can do this. Realistic - It fits your lifestyle, values and expectations. Time-Sensitive - It states a definite time for achieving it. Keep it SM ALL and SM ART A S.M.A.R.T. goal involves only a small change. Take it one step at a time -- you have a better chance of achieving your goal that way. Write it <lown and tell someone about it. If you commit to your goal out loud, you are more likely to take action.
