Are you ready to vote? Look for your voter card! To vote this year, you must have a voter card. The Town of Oakville will be mailing voter cards to eligible voters. If you do not receive a card by the end of September, contact the Clerk's department. Are you on the voters` list? As of September 2, 2014, you can check to see if your name is on the voters' list by calling 905-815-6015, or visiting the Clerk's department located at Town Hall. If you are not on the voters' list or if the information on your voter card is incorrect, fill out an Application to Amend the Voters' List. All applications for revisions must be on the designated form, properly completed and signed by the applicant. Download the application online at elections.oakville.ca, fill it out, and take it to the Clerk's department at Town Hall. Identification is required. Are you qualified to vote? To vote in the municipal election you must be: · A Canadian citizen · At least 18 years of age on Voting Day · A resident or owner or tenant of property in Oakville or the spouse of such owner or tenant. Are voting locations accessible? All voting locations will be physically accessible. Accessible voting equipment will be available at all advance voting locations and at Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road on voting day.
