Halton Regional Police said the male was helping to build a trench on the side of the road near Dundas Road and Third Line when a wall collapsed, trapping him. Ornge air ambulance attended the scene, but the teen was taken by land ambulance to a local hospital. Police said the Ministry of Labour was contacted and is investigating. The Town of Oakville will be using the pesticide Finalsan Pro Commercial Concentrate -- active ingredient Soap (ammonium soap of fatty acids), Reg. No. 30012 under the Pest Control Products Act (Canada) -- to control weeds in shrub beds on roadsides and in parks along the following roadways: Allan Street, Bronte Road, Church Street, Cornwall Road, Dorval Drive, Dunn Street, East Street, Jones Street, Kerr Street, Lakeshore Road, Marine Drive, Navy Street, Nelson Street, and resources to enhance programming and relationships with children and other staff. A certicate from PRO will be awarded after successful completion of this workshop. Participants will also receive training in PREVNet's Healthy Relationship Training Module (Bullying Awareness) and Development Assets®. Cost for this workshop is $40 and includes materials.
