Mr. Scott Bonikowsky Mr. Bonikowsky has 20 years of senior-level corporate affairs, communication and reputation management experience, including stewarding reputation at Tim Hortons, as Senior Vice President, Corporate, Public and Government Affairs and Canadian Tire, as Vice President, Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations. His Board experience is extensive serving on the Boards of Restaurants Canada, United Way Oakville, Arctic Children and Youth Foundation, Humber College and ErinoakKids Centre for Treatment and Development. Dr. Christopher Lu As the incoming Vice-President of the HHS Professional Staff Association, Dr. Christopher Lu has been appointed as one of the medical staff representatives on the HHS Board of Directors. Dr. Lu is an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Georgetown Hospital who joined the HHS medical staff in July 2012. Dr. Lu acquired his orthopaedic surgical experience at Toronto General, Mount Sinai and Toronto Western, as well as in the United States at Massachusetts General Hospital and Stanford University. SmarTrack Patient Tracking System Halton Healthcare Services recently implemented SmarTrack, a new advanced patient tracking system across its three hospitals. This interactive tool which visually tracks a patient's journey through the surgical program allows family members to follow their loved one's progress through their surgery from registration to discharge. It also helps streamline patient flow and improves communication. Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers' Award Halton Healthcare Services (HHS) was selected as the winner of the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers' (OGVG) First Local Food Week Competition for its various promotional activities during Ontario Local Food Week last June. This included the organization of a very successful Food Expo at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. The OGVG Recognition Award was presented to HHS on September 23, 2014 at a special ceremony at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Patient Safety Expo Halton Healthcare Services' (HHS) 8th Annual Patient Safety Expo provides us with an opportunity to showcase the many new quality and patient safety initiatives that are being implemented throughout HHS.
