In what appears to be a win for Falgarwood area res idents in their battle against noise and pollution in their neighbourhood, H OOPP (Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan) has agreed to look at an alternative config uration for the proposed complex. At a town Site Plan Com m ittee on Tuesday night, HOOPP asked for additional time to consider the alternative configuration recommended by town staff. A staff report had sug gested approval of the 446,000 sq. ft. industrial complex only if the three proposed buildings were laid out to create an internal courtyard that would sur round truck loading docks. A HOOPP representative said the organization will need to assess the mar ketability of the project with the new layout. The original design of the complex would have seen as many as 64 loading docks placed at the back of the buildings, nearest to the Falgarwood Drive residents.
