Proceeds of the show will go to the Shriners' philanthropic activities. The Christmas Fantasy Magic Show features Murray Hatfield as the producer. H atfield has starred throughout Canada, toured throughout the world and performed at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. Along with his assistant Theresa, the duo have appeared at major corporate events in Canada and the United States and on several cruise ships in the Caribbean, Panama Canal and Alaska. The Festival of Trees and Treasures continues to Dec. 7. Knights of Columbus teen dance Friday The Oakville Knights of Columbus has revived its popular monthly Young Teen Dances. Dances are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1494 Wallace Rd.. near Speers Road and Third Line, on the last Friday of each month, and are open to teens in Grades 6 to 8. The next dance is this Friday, Nov. 29, from 6:30 - 10 p.m. However, the December dance will be early because of Christmas, on Dec. 13. The Young Teen Dances are fully supervised by adults and parent volunteers are always welcome. The Knights of Columbus Hall can accommo date 450 teens. Admission to the dance is $10 each, of which $2 goes directly to the Canadian Food for Children's Fund. The balance of the money goes to cover the cost o f obtaining music, prizes, hall maintenance and the Knights of Columbus general charity fund that are distributed annually to some 60 registered community support causes and charities. Parents dropping their teens off at the dance are asked to make sure they are safely in the hall before leaving, and to return promptly at 10 p.m. for pick-ups.
