Initiated by United Way Oakville (UWO) in 1999, and now organized by the Carousel of Nations Multicultural Association (CNMA), the event has grown to merit a new location this year -- the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre, 2302 Bridge Rd. Twelve local groups, representing more than 30 countries, will be showcasing their unique cultures at the free, outdoor, family-friendly festival. "Since 1999, the festival continues to be a successful collaboration among the local ethno-cultural groups, professional and amateur multicultural artists, Halton Regional Police Service, local businesses, government and corporate sponsors," stated a media release. Late Tuesday (June 30) evening or early Wednesday (July 1) morning, suspects broke into vehicles on Glendon Court, Glen Valley Road, Westview Terrace, Rectory Lane, Monks Passage, Outlook Terrace, Old Meadow Road, Old Bridle Path and Montrose Abbey Drive, police said. The thieves stole from the vehicles, some of which were unlocked. In instancSgt.
