Oakville Transit is using two murals on its buses to encourage people to donate to the United Way of Oakville (UWO). The murals are the result of a partnership involving UWO, Oakville Transit, Pattison Outdoor and RE/MAX Aboutowne, and are meant to share the UWO's message across town this year. "The need is here -- 34,000 people in our community rely on United Way programs and services. It's exciting to partner with two outstanding companies that can help us extend our reach and who share our passion for improving the local community," said UWO CEO Brad Park. The bus murals were funded by Pattison Outdoor and RE/MAX Aboutowne, the latter sponsored all production and installation costs. "As a company that specializes in introducing people to a home they love, we understand it's important to feel connected to the place you live. Sponsoring United Way Oakville means our clients and employees get to feel invested in their neighbourhoods and empowered to improve the lives of others," said Claudia DiPaolo, RE/MAX Aboutowne broker of record. UWO funds 32 local human and social service agencies that support more than 34,000 people in Oakville. Visit www.uwoakville.org for more.
