Beloved husband of Sharron. Dear father of Janet, and Scott. Loved Papa of Jason, and Kyle, Grandpa of Alisha, and Great-grandpa of Jassiah. Predeceased by his sister Edna. Brother-in-law of Ken Harmer and Judy Valletta. He will also be missed by many nephews, nieces and friends. Bruce was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. In his retirement he served in the funeral profession as a funeral assistant at numerous funeral homes in the area. Cremation has taken place. John had a love of music and enjoyed playing the banjo and singing with family and friends. If someone ever needed something, John always had it, or he found it! He was a free spirit who did his own thing, his own way. He will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. l Obituaries l In Memoriams DI RISIO, Leonardo January 16, 1946 - November 8, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonardo at the age of 69, on Sunday, November 8, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife Lidia, with whom he shared forty six years of marriage; his daughter Yolanda and her husband Alain Martinez; and his son Paul and his wife Melissa. He was an awesome "Nonno" to Nathan and Lucas. Leonardo is also survived by his sister Concetta Di Risio, his sister Rosa Di Carlo and her husband Franco, his sister-in-law Maria Di Risio, Angie Di Risio and Lily Birt and her husband Joe. He was a loving uncle to several nieces and nephews. Leonardo is predeceased by his older brothers Nicola and Tommaso. Leonardo immigrated to Canada in 1963 and worked at the Ford Motor Company for thirty eight years. Leonardo will be remembered by his many friends as a kind, generous and fun-loving man. He was the vice-president of the Oakville Italian Club where he was respected and liked by all. The family extends a special thank you to the dedicated service of EMS staff, the Police, the Fire Department and the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital staff. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Thursday.
