Ray Chisholm eyeing Ward 2 Town Council seat in April by-election Ray Chisholm, a former Town of Oakville employee who is chair of Visit Oakville, is vying for a seat on Town council next year. Chisholm announced earlier in December he will be running in the upcoming by-election for Ward 2. The seat is vacant after Pam Damoff was sworn in as the new Member of Parliament (MP) for the new Oakville North -- Burlington riding. Chisholm, who was born and raised in Oakville and has lived in Ward 2 more than 40 years, said he's passionate about serving his community and brings decades of positive interaction with the town and its residents. "I believe serving the community encourages civic responsibility and when I start knocking on your doors in January, I will be seeking your ideas and input on the issues facing Ward 2 and the Oakville community," said Chisholm, who recently retired as the senior manager of recreation services at the Town of Oakville. "I am committed to being the voice of Ward 2 residents, so that the future of Oakville will meet and exceed your vision and expectations."
