This year, it will take place on March 23 at the Oakville Conference Centre, 2515 Wyecroft Rd. The evening will see winners selected from nine categories, including: the RBC Small Business of the Year; Bell Mid-size Business of the Year; Large Business of the Year; Franchisee of the Year; Professional Services Provider of the Year; The Morris Mercanti Restaurateur of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year; Genworth Community Builder of the Year; and, Oakville Hydro Conservation Leadership Award. Two other special awards -- Oakville's Business Icon Award and the Charity or Not-for-Profit Excellence Award -- will be handed out during the night as well. The Business Icon Award recognizes a prominent Oakville business, which is highly regarded in the business community. The Charity or Not-for-Profit Excellence Award honours a charity or not-for-profit organization, which is highly regarded in the community and raises funds or provides services to improve the lives of people within the community.
