Love, Don. R0013681486 LOSCH, Robert (Bob) Of Oakville, Ontario passed away on February 2, 2016 in his 84th year after a courageous battle with leukemia, with his family by his side. Sadly missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruth (nee Anderson). Proud father of Jeff (Cathy), Jody (Keith), Kirby (Leslie) and Carrie (Lawrence). Beloved grandfather of Nicholas, Christopher, Sarah, Jessica, Ben, Steven and Gregory. Dear brother of Hilda. Born in Montreal and educated as an engineer at McGill University, Bob had a very successful career in the aircraft industry with Pratt and Whitney Canada for almost 40 years which took him around the world when travel was equal parts exotic and adventurous. For close to five decades, he'd spend his summers at his beloved cottage in Quebec's Eastern Townships where the later years saw him creating unique and fun games and pastimes for his visiting grandkids. Bob undertook his final challenge as he lived his whole life, with strength, courage and determination. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016. A funeral service will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds St., Oakville on Saturday, February 6th at 1 p.m. Private family interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. Friends are welcome to gather at the Kopriva Taylor Lounge immediately after the service where the family will join them for a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SickKids Foundation. Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com MILLER, James On February 2, 2016, in his 82nd year, we said goodbye to James (Jim) Miller, a very dear husband, father, granddad, uncle and friend. Jim came to Canada in 1962 from bonnie Scotland. A proud Canadian from the moment he stepped off the ship, he enjoyed a very successful career starting in the art department of the Montreal Star and eventually became publisher of MacLean's Magazine. Jim was a devout golfer and long time member of the Oakville Golf Club where he spent countless days chasing the little white ball with his golf buddies, the Gazoonies. Jim hated the cold and spent the last 30 winters escaping to the Bahamas where he and his wife Maureen enjoyed the sun, warmth and the company of many good friends. Back here in Canada, Jim's circle of close friends and family were the biggest part of his life. And, although he didn't see them often, his family and lifelong friends in the UK were also very dear to him. Jim was happiest when surrounded by both his immediate and beloved extended family, and cherished the time when everyone was together having fun. Jim will be greatly missed by his wife Maureen (née Rason), children Kirstie (Mike), Sarah (Mike) and Matthew (Jeany) and his seven grandchildren, Alex, James, Kate, Tess, Marcus, Theo and Lauren. We are grateful for the wonderful care received at Mount Sinai Hospital and Ian Anderson House. Donations, if desired, may be sent to Ian Anderson House. In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral. Instead, the family will hold a gathering at the Oakville Golf Club at a date to be announced where friends and family can raise a glass to a life very well lived, and a man very well loved.
