Project Autism to introduce curling to its members with Rock the Rings event Project Autism is introducing curling to its members March 6 with its Rock the Rings event in Oakville. "Project Autism is bringing the curling `rink' to a school gymnasium. Floor curling provides a safe and fun way to introduce the sport that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities," stated a media release. In partnership with Curling Canada, Rocks and Rings offered Project Autism an RBC community grant to cover the cost of the program, and MacLachlan College will be providing the use of its gym. The event will be offered free to its members. "It is a highly interactive experience with an emphasis on fun," stated the release. Oakville Mayor Rob Burton is also expected to attend. Project Autism is a community group that provides programs, activities and resources to families dealing with, or affected by, ASD.
