The Oakville Beaver BLAIS, Sharon Irene Passed away peacefully, at the age of 69, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease, on February 17, 2016. Sharon was born in Truro, Nova Scotia and grew up in Blind River, Ontario. She graduated with a degree in History from Laurentian University and obtained a Bachelor of Education from Queens University. Sharon taught with the Halton Catholic District School Board. Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Helen Blais and her brothers Philip and Dale. She is survived by her son Michael in Sechelt, BC, and a sister Brenda in Windsor, ON as wll as nephews Derek and Dale Ross Degagne, and their children.
