On-line condolences may be made through www.turnerporter.ca l Obituaries l Obituaries HAMILTON, Lenore Gwendolyn (1926-2016) Lenore Gwendolyn Hamilton (nee Fallis) passed away peacefully Thursday, February 25, 2016, just five days shy of her 90th Birthday. Lenore was a wonderful mother to her seven children and favourite of her 18 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. Lenore was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and grew up in Indian Head, Preeceville, and Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She moved to Bowmanville, Ontario during World War 2, where she met her husband to be, who was on leave from the RAF and who had coincidentally also been born in Indian Head, although they had never met there. Lenore was a nature lover and avid birder with a gentle disposition. She was passionate about her pets and animal welfare and loved spending time at the family cottage surrounded by family. She is survived by her seven children, Donna Gayle, Paula Rene, Kevin Brent, Derek Wade, Mark Alden, Kerry Todd, and Timothy Reade. She is also survived by her siblings Howard Fallis, Shirley Pate, and Bob Fallis. She is predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Donald Calvin, and by siblings Lucille Eaton and Keith Fallis. Condolences through www.koprivataylor.com l Obituaries SOMERSETT, Frederick Arthur March 29, 1944 - February 27, 2016 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Fred just one month and two days shy of his 72nd Birthday. Fred brought the same good nature and sense of humour in his final days as he demonstrated in his life time. Fred was a dedicated employee of the Town of Oakville and proudly served the community first as Zoning Inspector and later as a By-Law Enforcement Officer before he retired in 2005 with 35 years of service. Beloved and devoted husband, best friend and soulmate of Janice (nee Mortensen) for 41 years. Dearly loved brother of David (Arthurlyn Moore), Craig (Judith Phillips), Vicki (Paul Drobotenko) and predeceased by brother Chris (2005). Loved brother-in-law of Martine Culham (the late Douglas, 2015) and Darlene and Bill Moffatt. Fred was a special uncle who was much loved and will be greatly missed by his many nephews and nieces as well as great-nieces, cousins and their extended families and many caring friends. A long-time member of St. John's United Church, Oakville, Fred enjoyed serving on the Worship and Congregational Life Committees. He loved to golf and bowl (in fact that is how Janice and he met) and was a great fan of the Toronto Argonauts, Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, but his greatest passion was travelling along with Janice exploring approximately 40 U.S. States including Alaska and Hawaii and experiencing a panda excursion to China. Fred picked up the travel bug by attending a Boys Brigade Jamboree Camp in Scotland as a teenager. Friends will be received at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery (3164 Ninth Line, Oakville at Dundas Street) on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at St. John's United Church (262 Randall Street, Oakville) at 11 a.m. Interment St. Judes Cemetery. MYERS, Sandra (nee Hawtin) 1944-2016 On February 23, 2016 Sandra suddenly passed away with Bill, her loving husband of 54 years, and her entire family by her side. She leaves behind her three children Scott (Donna), Sheryl (Glenn), Beverly (Phil) along with her sister Lynn and brothers-in-law Craig Campbell and Terry Mannell.
