Scott Tupper, a member of the Canadian men's field hockey team and a two-time Olympian, was at the camp for two days, providing helpful tips to youth and junior club members wanting to learn the game and increase their fitness. The event, run in partnership with Future Stars Camp, was held at Burlington's Haber Recreation Centre. Halton is home to many of field hockey's up-and-coming talents, some of whom are now members of the provincial and national programs. The Halton club is Ontario largest field hockey club. The sport itself is growing in Canada, with 2015 full of highlights. The men's national team qualified for this summer Rio Olympic Games by taking the silver medal at the Pan Am Games in Toronto. The women's national team won the bronze medal at the Pan Ams. Members of the Thrashers (right photo) watch national field hockey team member Scott Tupper demonstrate tips on shooting.
