CHARTWELL.COM Grade one students take off at the beginning of the 10th annual La Francourse held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park May 18. The event welcomes hundreds of students from 23 French-language schools from across South Central Ontario to a five-kilometre run through the provincial park. The event was started by Rachel Caron, who was a teacher at the elementary school Patricia Picknell in Oakville and is a marathoner herself.
