Since Carmel moved into her Chartwell residence, daughter Cathy admits her mom is so busy with social events that it's sometimes difficult to get her on the phone! Instead of managing errands and worrying about household responsibilities, the two now spend more quality time together. You too can experience the peace of mind that comes with living in an engaging community. CHARTWELL.COM Grade one students take off at the beginning of the 10th annual La Francourse held at Bronte Creek Provincial Park May 18. The event welcomes hundreds of students from 23 French-language schools from across South Central Ontario to a five-kilometre run through the provincial park. The event was started by Rachel Caron, who was a teacher at the elementary school Patricia Picknell in Oakville and is a marathoner herself. Today, Francourse is a non-profit organization that relies on volunteers as students prepare for the activity that promotes exercise and nutrition. | photo by Nikki Wesley Oakville Beaver (Follow on Twitter @halton_photog or facebook.com/HaltonPhotog) 180 Oak Park Blvd., Oakville BUY 2 SACS SAVE $20!
