Oakville songwriter Paul Malysa has released his third CD. I'm Country in the City features 11 tracks written by Malysa and John Christensen and one cover of Cat Stevens' Moonshadow, all on the Squirrel Head Music label. "Paul Malysa is both soulful and personal. As a songwriter he is known to compose emotionally-charged music and his honest and genuine performance style has overwhelmed and charmed audiences everywhere," stated a media release. Oakville's Paul Malysa releases third album Auditions open for Three categories to choose from The Spectacular Showcase variety show is back for its fifth rendition and looking for some talent to feature at its show at the end of the year. Performers interested in auditioning have three categories to choose from: · Individuals or groups -- for those aged 40 and older (audition is required); · Intergenerational -- performers aged 40 and older paired with younger performers of any age (audition required); · Showcase Academy -- for anyone who loves to sing. This number will involve group singing and some simple dance moves (no audition or experience is required). He is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International, Songwriters Association of Canada, and the Country Music Association of Ontario and on the committee for Tin Pan North. Malysa was a finalist in the Eco Arts Awards and this year, he just received The Akademia Music Award in Los Angeles for a song he co-wrote with Christensen, Knelt Down and Prayed, for the best Christian/Ballad category.
